♛ FIRST IMPRESSIONS ♛

VISUAL ☆ mikuni is a jinba, although most would probably think of the word "centaur" first. he has the upper body of a man as well as the body of a horse. his skin is pale with a gray tint; his eyes are gold, and his hair is long, straight, and black. his equine half is black, well-muscled, and sturdy. here's a colored visual. notably, jinba have sharp teeth with long canines, more like a canine or bear than a human or horse.
FASHION ☆ traditionally, mikuni covers his human half but not his equine half. he almost always wears a shortened kimono on his torso. he will at times wear hakama on his horse butt for modesty, or something. horse pants don't look great though honestly.
DEMEANOR ☆ mikuni is pleasant and polite, but reserved. in times of great stress, he can come across jumpy or paranoid. at the same time, when he becomes comfortable with someone (or when he's super interested in derailing a conversation or changing the subject), he sometimes jokes around, even to the point of being kind of inappropriate.
AURAL ☆ he's very soft-spoken and even-toned, with an expansive vocabulary and an elegant way of speaking. this doesn't really change no matter what his mood; he's always eloquent and conscious of thinking before he speaks.
OLFACTORY ☆ let's be honest, he smells like horse. a remarkably clean horse, but still horse. he also smells like the woods™ and general outdoorsiness.
MENTAL ☆ very guarded! mikuni is leery about letting others in, and that goes for his mental defenses as well. that being said, behind those walls is a very inquisitive mind, constantly balancing healthy caution and a bit of paranoia with an eagerness to learn more about the world around him.
MEDICAL ☆ he's got a whole bunch more organs than you might expect due to having a horse body and a people body. two hearts? you betcha. other than that, he's pretty healthy.
MAGICAL ☆ as a result of his acatalepsy-native abilities (see below), those sensitive to mental/psychic abilities may be able to sense him affecting others' moods. other than that, he doesn't give off much. jinba are sadly not magical.
ABILITIES ☆ mikuni can dampen others' emotions! see below for more details.

Mikuni's powers in acatalepsy_rpg involve dampening emotions. I will always ask before using this power ICly, but if you'd prefer that I never use this on your character, please let me know here.

Additionally, Mikuni was a war orphan and engaged in cannibalism as a child. If you would prefer these subjects never come up in our threads, that's totally fine--just let me know below.
